Tracking Replies

This might seem like a silly question, but I am a lj noob still.

You may or may not have noticed that the KMM is back. I didn't do it, they stopped replying to me. But I digress.

I am wondering how you track a comment thread on there?
I clicked the pin but all the options are greyed out, and I know other people follow specific prompts.

Any help?

Maybe it's a paid feature? Not 100% sure.

Momo said it's a paid feature. I might actually look into that if so, which would also stop me getting marked as spam too.

I guess they decided they didn't want new mods, but hopefully I nudged them towards opening with just the remaining ones.

You need a paid account to track single comments/comment threads. Otherwise you can only track all replies to a post, or new entries to a community/journal.

I used to have a paid account and I was always able to track single comments on a post, but now that I don't longer have a paid account, I can't. However, if you buy a paid account for a few weeks/months, and start tracking comments, you won't stop tracking them once your account goes back to basic. However, you cannot start tracking any new comments, and if you stop tracking one of the comments you previously followed, you can't go back to tracking it.

I hope I'm making sense.

I may consider getting one for a little while in that case. Thanks :)
